i think the difference i that people who bought those trucks did so for work. Now people buy them cuz they are douches and never have any intent of putting a 2x4 int he bed or go thru anything more than the sand in the corner of the gym parking lot. They only want to through dubs on there with a 2' lift

My brother in law has one of these.. with 37-inch tires and a twin turbo Cummins.
It’s the most fun I’ve ever had behind the wheel.

We had a 86 F250 for a mt.bike/ski shuttle; it was huge, sucked to turn around, took up two spots at the hill, and usually froze your hand/glove to the side when refilling the lp tank.
But it also carried 6 bikes and people and skis anywhere we wanted to go.. We called it Big Blue.
